Nike in collaboration with Kanye West released the images of the Nike Air Yeezy 2 set to drop to premium retailers on April 13th, 2012. Nike Air Yeezy 2 will come in two colors Wolf Grey and Pure Platinum.
The newest design boasts luxury leather lining with detailed Egyptian symbolism on the scrap of the sneakers. Kanye opted to place Horus, The Sky God, in the design of his shoe. Horus has numerous direct parallels to Jesus so there is no telling why Kanye decided to place symbolism on his design. An outline of a triangle with Horus inside is also featured on the dust bag that will come with the shoe. Horus is also associated with the all-seeing eye of God that conspiracy theorists love to associate with the Illuminati.
On the tongue of the shoe Kanye chose to place the name of the shoe (Yeezy) in Hieroglyphics.
It’s odd that Nike, whose name stems from the god Nike in Greek mythology, allowed Kanye to use direct references to the Egyptian Culture but who knows maybe they want the conspiracy theorists to create a buzz surrounding Ye’s new design.
